_______
Paradox of Freedom:
My bloodline boils, we suffered turmoil on opposite sides of this war hunted to near exstinction.
Yes I know why the caged bird sings; to keep itself company uplifted for a moment on gales of song. Eternal vigilance, at times pleading 'someone hear me'.
Freedom's cost too rich for them and me, a paradox since it's what we need. Much like Pandora's Box my cage be:
Pandora exposed our humanity: our spirit of grief first, followed by calamity. We often forget wise Pandora released them from empathy, her compassion allowed hope & resillience to survive suffocation.
Accountability shown, she took on leadership to atone.
Heavy is the head that wore her crown, her compassionate quest for why and how nearly got her overthrown.
We the caged are hellbound from health decline, monetary siphoning and supposed sanity slips as called by stalkers of our own. Our family damned by lineage, our contact outside restricted.
Oh yes, guilded cage a flame inside I hope melts bars before I die.
What does it mean to be free? Free of harm, free to wander as we will on the streets prior to death threats leaving Hummingbird to admit defeat. If only we could eat Wealthy Men instead of them feasting on lifeblood and dreams of our kin.
Tell me, what are you willing to pay the reaper? Can you afford your prison keys? Or will you, like Me Never Leave.
